Stunning. The textures of the flat surface of the photo, the bits of crispness and bits of softness, in surprising places. The amount of personality captured in such quiet moments. Am I wrong to feel like it's hard to take a portrait of a beautiful person while also capturing some traction, some suggestion of personality that you can sink your teeth into? The grace with the grit? At any rate, this tintype series is impressive. More here.
