NMNH: Silver Horn

A friend sent me a link to this incredible art by a Plains artist named Haungooah, or Silver Horn. If I understand correctly, this is part of a 30-page pictorial diary drawn in the pages of a bound book used for recording Army target-practice sessions. According to the Museum of Natural History website, the drawings were made in the 1890s while Silver Horn was enlisted in Troop L of the 7th Cavalry, based at Fort Sill, Indian Territory (now Oklahoma)."
