Carrie Scanga

I've recently been introduced to the work of Carrie Scanga, an extraordinary artist who's just moved to Maine. I think the compositions are beautiful, and love how the lines are precisely imprecise, perfectly irregular. I especially enjoy how Scanga's art invokes narrative elements, hinting at specific stories or moments while also leaving the meaning open-ended. I'm excited to meet her.

Workspace Love

Hot damn, I find this little space inspiring*. More splendid, soft-lit photos from this photographer, Lindsay Josal, here and here.

Elizabeth Atterbury

Portland East represents! I really love this photo by local photographer Elizabeth Atterbury. It's so warm and intimate and human. Some of her other photographs strike me as a little too... light, but I really like this one. I believe it's part of a project about her grandpa, and I'm curious to see more in the series.

Homeland Magazine

I just came across this magazine, which is out of China. I am dying to get my hands on a hardcopy issue of the magazine, as the photography is phenomenal.
